Getting ready for our mini-vacation. My wife, baby, and I are staying at our friends in Austin. Planning on visiting the capital building, checking out 6th street, finding great places to eat, do some shopping, and hang out by the pool.
Little baby girl Emily is growing up little by little each day. Now she is playing dress up. I changed her diaper and left her pants off wearing a diaper only because it was close to bath time. She got into her dresser, found a pair of bloomers, came to the living room with them not pulled up all the way, had DaDa help her put them on right. Then it was back to her room, bringing back another pair, asking DaDa (not mommy) to help change into the new bloomers. She ended up going back and forth 4 times doing this. Seem little girl likes to play dress up. Also she is getting picky about what she wears. Her new phrase is "I don't like that". And she means it. Very funny, at least for now. Rocking her to sleep in my arms at night is at an end. Now its read a bed time story and into bed. I do miss rocking her at night. But she does sit my lap and play peek-a-boo, laughing up a storm when we play. I taught her how to do nose kisses. She thinks it is fun and funny when we give nose kisses to each other. Will say, I really do love being a father. Nothing better in the world.
Time to pack now, have a great week!
